SEX - CAN BE COSTLY

Sure sex is good, it feels great, it is a lot of fun. But it doesn’t last very long, it's soon over. The consequences of sex, however can linger on.

Caution, care and planning can pay big dividends There are numbers of STDs (sexually transmitted disease) lurking in wait for the careless. If you get AIDS, it is equivalent to a death sentence. If you get Herpes, it can be a life long  recurring of eruptions and pain. Several other types of STD can be cured, but can be most unpleasant for a time.

But if the normal intention of sex occurs, that is, pregnancy, then you are faced with a long time responsibility, the care and rearing of a child.  That is something that should not be undertaken lightly, both for your interests and that of a potential child. So sex needs to be approached with a good deal of caution. Instead of being a few minutes of pleasure, it could result in totally unplanned and unexpected consequences.

So if you are to have sex, choose a partner carefully. Pregnancy should hopefully not occur unless there is a stable, committed relationship between a man and woman, with plans to stay together and insure that a newborn will have care and protection for the first 18 years of life.

Sure, abortion can be a way out. But every effort should be made to avoid the need for this risk to a woman and the destruction of a potential new life.

     then that life, like the dinosaurs

          becomes extinct.
